These terms and conditions apply to all pest control services quoted and carried out by Barrier Kings ("we", "us", "our") and to your use of barrierkings.com.au. By requesting a quote or booking a treatment with us, you agree to these terms.
For most jobs we can provide a quote over the phone. For larger jobs we will provide a quote following a site inspection. Quotes are based on the information you give us about the property and the pest problem.
If, on arrival, the scope of work differs materially from what was described — for example the property is larger than stated, the infestation is more extensive, or additional areas require treatment — we will discuss this with you and provide a revised quote before proceeding. You are under no obligation to accept a revised quote.
Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days.
Once you accept a quote, a deposit of 10% of the quoted amount is required to confirm and schedule the job. The balance is payable on completion of the treatment unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

If we cannot access the property at the scheduled time, or the preparation has not been completed, we may need to reschedule and a call-out fee may apply.
Our technicians are licensed to carry out pest management work in Queensland. Our equipment and products are modern and effective, as well as being safe for your family, pets and the environment when used in accordance with the manufacturer's directions and the instructions we provide.
Most jobs are completed on the same day. Pest control is a process rather than a one-time event, and some treatments require a settling period or follow-up visits before full results are achieved.
Eligible treatments are covered by our 12 month warranty. If covered pest activity returns within the warranty period, contact us and we will re-attend and re-treat the affected areas at no additional charge.

The warranty applies from the date the treatment is completed and paid for in full, and is not transferable unless we agree in writing. Specific inclusions and exclusions for your treatment will be set out in your quote or service report.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please give us as much notice as you reasonably can so we can offer the time to another customer. Where a job is cancelled at short notice, or our technician has already been dispatched, a fee may apply to cover the cost of the visit.
Payment is due on completion of the treatment unless we have agreed different terms with you in writing. We will tell you at the time of booking which payment methods we accept.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those rights. If a service we supply fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to have the problem rectified, or to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss or damage arising from information you gave us that was incomplete or inaccurate, from pre-existing damage or defects at the property, or from a failure to follow our post-treatment instructions.
Please tell us promptly about any concern with work we have carried out so that we have a fair opportunity to inspect it and put it right.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you book applies to that booking.
